Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is a Hair Transplant Painful?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so the transplant itself is painless. However, the anesthesia injections may cause some discomfort, similar to a series of small injections. Once the anesthesia takes effect, the operation is generally very comfortable.

2. How Many Grafts Are Usually Transplanted?

On average, between 2,500 and 5,000 grafts are transplanted. The exact number depends on the size of the balding area, the condition of the donor area, and the desired density.

3. Do I Need to Shave My Head?

FUE Method — usually requires full or partial shaving.

DHI Method — can often be performed without full shaving, allowing you to maintain your appearance.

4. How Should I Care for My Hair During the First 7 Days?

  • Wash your hair only according to your doctor’s instructions, using a gentle technique and a special shampoo.
  • Do not touch the transplanted area with your hands.
  • Avoid sun exposure, heat, saunas, swimming pools, and sports activities.
  • Sleep with your head elevated to reduce swelling.
  • Do not wear tight hats or head coverings.

5. When Can I Return to Work and Sports?

  • Office work is usually possible after 3–5 days.
  • Light exercise can typically be resumed after about 2 weeks.
  • Intensive sports activities should be avoided for 4–6 weeks.

6. How Much Does a Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey?

The average cost of a hair transplant ranges from €1,700 to €2,700. The price depends on the chosen method (FUE or DHI) and the number of grafts required.

7. Which Currencies Are Accepted?

Payments can be made in:

  • Turkish Lira (TRY)
  • Euro (EUR)
  • US Dollar (USD)
  • British Pound Sterling (GBP)
  • Russian Ruble (RUB)
  • Cryptocurrency

8. What Is Included in the Organization Package: Accommodation, Transfer, Interpreter?

We provide full support for our patients:

  • Airport pick-up and drop-off
  • Private transfers
  • Interpreter services
  • Hotel accommodation booking
  • Aftercare instructions and guidance

9. Is There a Guarantee for the Results?

Yes. We provide official clinic documents and a guarantee certificate. We also offer online consultations and follow-up support after the procedure.

10. Will the Result Look Natural?

Yes. The doctor designs the hairline according to your facial features and natural hair growth direction. Modern techniques allow for highly natural-looking results.

11. What Happens to the Donor Area?

The grafts are taken from the back of the head, where the hair is genetically resistant to hair loss. The extraction is performed evenly to avoid visible thinning.

12. Are There Any Risks or Complications?

The main risks are usually related to improper aftercare. Mechanical damage, excessive sweating, or sun exposure may harm the grafts. When the instructions are followed carefully, complications are extremely rare.

13. Do I Have Enough Hair for a Transplant?

This can only be determined by a doctor during a consultation. In most cases, the donor area at the back of the head provides enough grafts to cover the balding areas.

14. What If the Transplanted Hair Falls Out?

Between weeks 2–4, the transplanted hairs may temporarily shed. This is a normal process called shock loss. New hair growth usually begins again after 2–3 months.

15. When Will I See Results?

The first noticeable improvements usually appear after 4–6 months. Full results are typically achieved within 9–12 months.

16. Can I Fly After a Hair Transplant?

Yes. Air travel is generally allowed the next day after the procedure. We organize your transfers and provide travel instructions for a comfortable journey.

17. Can the Signs of the Procedure Be Hidden?

During the first 7–10 days, redness and small scabs are usually visible. These can often be covered with a loose-fitting hat after receiving your doctor’s approval.

18. Is Hair Transplantation Suitable for Women?

Yes. Hair transplantation is also performed for women. The DHI method is especially popular because it often does not require full head shaving.

19. How Can I Overcome the Language Barrier at the Clinic?

All patients are provided with an interpreter. The clinic also has Russian-speaking coordinators, and consultations are available online both before and after the procedure.
